Welcome to the 8th annual Women Rock on August 24th, 2019! 2.5K, 5K, 10K & Half Marathon. Compete in one of our two CHALLENGES! Rock Starlet Challenge (2.5K, 5K & 10K) -OR- Super Rock Starlet Challenge (2.5K, 5K & Half Marathon). Complete the challenge and earn 4 medals (3 distances & 1 challenge medal)!

New this year:

  • NZ Olympic Marathoner Lorraine Moller is returning to Start the race and greet you at the finish!
  • Hot and Cold food, Mimosas, Pre-Race/Post-Race Yoga, Music, Activities for the family, and more from women-owned businesses!
  • More awards for shorter distances to encourage people starting out running.
  • Like all our races this year, we have added EnMotive's Packet Pickup solution to speed up your bib pickup
  • Like all our races this year, more age groups for kids!

About Girls Rock: Designed for Girls to experience a race surrounded by supportive women, (often their Mothers or Aunts).  Girls Rock runners receive the same Women Rock Finisher medals and Again this year, features a Girls Rock jacket in the same breathable, water proof & wind proof fabric as Women Rock.  Sizes available are 8, 10 & 12.    We will be doing awards for the 5K this year and adding age groups for girls!

There are no official time cutoffs for any distances as the out and back nature of the course allows for early racers to finish throughout the morning.  However, the breakdown of the finish line will begin at approximately 11:30 to allow for getting off the street by noon.

However, note that if you do not cross the start line within a few minutes of the 'official start time' for your race, due to the start and finish line being the same your time may be wrong and/or you may be removed from results pending review.  

Home Packet Delivery

Don't want to come to packet pickup?  We can mail your packet for you! Most recent costs on the registration page.    

Packet Mailing starts at $4.99 and increases closer to the race date.  Packet mailout election ends approximately 2 weeks before the race date (Tentatively August 7th).  

Note: Race Day Pickup costs $20, so if you can't make it to day-before packet pickup, this is the recommended option!

Awards

Awards for the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon will be mailed out 2-3 weeks following the race.   

New for 2019 WR and future races:  Special Challenge awards to the top 3 Female and top 1 Overall in each Challenge Age Group

New for 2019 - we will be adding awards for 5K. 

  • New this year! We are splitting into 5 year age groups and adding 0-9, 10-14, and 5 year age groups up to 70+ to allow for more awards for racers, and especially kids!

    • Awards will be given to the Top 3  Female Finishers Overall.
    • Awards will be given to the Top 2  Female Finishers in each of the following age groups:  0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
    • Overall winners will not be eligible for age group awards ('no double dipping')
